Founder of Riverdog Yoga, Kimberly Smith, BS MA RYT500 is excited to be offering yoga classes in Edgecomb. Kimberly has a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology/Biomechanics and her Master’s degree in Cardiac Rehab/Physiology.
Her trainings/certifications include 500 hour Integrative Yoga Therapy,
200 hour Ashtanga Yoga, I=MX Pilates and I=MX specialized Spinal Pilates.
Kimberly taught through her studio, Riverdog Yoga in Old Saybrook Connecticut for over 13 years prior to moving to Midcoast Maine. Before opening her studio she taught for over 10 years at various venues in the Greater New Haven Connecticut area.
She was the exclusive teacher for The Yale Medical School Study of Yoga and Cardiology. A variety of athletes, celebrities and fortune 100 CEOS have also studied with Kimberly. She has taught in various community and outreach programs including classes for incarcerated teens.
The successful National Yoga for Food campaign was founded by Kimberly. Pairing yoga studios and teachers with food banks throughout the country, this annual yoga event benefited those in need in communities across the United States. For this she was the recipient of a community service award by Connecticut Magazine.
Kimberly’s expertise allows her to work with all levels and abilities and meet each individual where ever they may be on their yoga journey.
